Peter Light

Peter Light has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry. Peter began their career in 2001 as a Market Research Analyst at the Rocky Mountain Institute. In 2003, they became a Market Research Consultant at Verdant Power. In 2004, they were an Associate at Energy & Environmental Economics. From 2005 to 2014, they worked at Bloom Energy, first as a Product Manager, then as a Product Marketing Manager, Senior Product Manager, and finally as Director of Global Product Management. In 2014, they joined X, the moonshot factory and founded and led the initiative to apply novel sensing, AI, and other frontier tech to realize a distributed, multi-party, high-renewables power system. Peter also led the Makani business innovation and commercialization. In 2019, they became an Advisor for Myst AI and Marain and an Investor Realizing a Sustainable Future at LV+. Peter also co-founded Ohmium, where they were Chief Commercial Officer, and structured the company formation, fundraising, and first sale to commercialize a breakthrough green fuel electrolyzer platform. In 2020, they became the Chief Executive Officer at Lumen Energy.

Peter Light attended Brown University from 1997 to 2001 and earned a Dual Degree in Engineering & Visual Art, Magna Cum Laude.
