Dean Lanier

Dean Lanier has extensive experience in fire safety and loss control, serving as Fire Marshal for the City of Sioux Falls from October 2007 to June 2023. Following this role, Dean assumed the position of Corporate Fire & Loss Control Manager at Lumen Technologies in August 2023. Prior military service includes over 24 years in the US Air Force, with various leadership roles such as Assistant Fire Chief at McGuire AFB and Flight Chief at Anderson AFB. Dean holds a Master's degree in Business Analytics from Grand Canyon University, an Executive Fire Officer designation from the National Fire Academy, and a Bachelor's degree in Fire Science from the University of Maryland University College.
