Heather Bowes

Heather Bowes is a seasoned professional in site reliability and cloud security engineering, currently serving as a Senior Lead Site Reliability Engineer and Lead Cloud Security Engineer at Lumen Technologies since February 2022. With a strong background in DevOps, Heather has successfully contributed to various consulting projects, including consolidating Splunk applications to reduce infrastructure costs and rectifying CDK templates for high-priority customer projects. Previously, Heather held the position of DevOps Engineer at Flexion Inc., optimizing GitLab pipelines and writing CloudFormation templates for the USGS. Other roles include DevOps Tech Lead at Infor, where Heather trained engineers and led microservices initiatives, as well as positions in Linux System Administration, Systems Administration, and IT support across several organizations, including Hitachi Healthcare Americas and McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture. Heather's educational background includes studies at Bob Jones University.
