Amit Saha is currently an advisor at Lumenci. Prior to joining Lumenci, Amit was a lecturer and research scientist at San Jose State University. Amit's research interests include the application of microfluidics for assessing cellular bio-mechanical properties.
Amit received their undergraduate degree in medical electronics and instrumentation from the National Institute of Technology in 2010. Amit then went on to complete a summer research fellowship at the Human Genetic Engineering Research Centre in 2009. In 2011, Amit began their graduate studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where they worked as a research assistant in the Vascular Bioengineering Laboratory. Amit received their PhD in 2016 from Stanford University School of Medicine.
Amit Saha's educational career began at the M. P. Birla F.H.S. School in India. Amit then attended the M.P. Birla Foundation H.S. School, Princeton University, and the Heritage Institute of Technology in India before coming to the United States for their undergraduate studies. Amit earned a Bachelor of Technology from the Heritage Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science from the West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata. Saha then attended the Santa Clara University School of Law, where they earned their Doctor of Jurisprudence. After working for a time, they decided to return to school to earn their doctorates, first earning a Doctor of Philosophy from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio and then from UT Health San Antonio. Saha is currently employed as a postdoctoral fellow at the Keck Graduate Institute.
