Robert Baker

Robert Baker has extensive experience in various leadership roles within the telecommunications industry. Robert was the Vice President of Module R&D at Lumentum since 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Engineering at OCLARO from 2016 to 2018. From 2013 to 2016, they held two positions at Cambium Networks: Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of Engineering. Before that, they were the General Manager of the Point to Point Wireless business at Motorola Solutions from 2006 to 2011. Robert also served as the VP of Product Management at Orthogon Systems from 2005 to 2006 and at Bookham Technology (now Oclaro) from 2000 to 2005. Throughout their career, Robert has demonstrated expertise in strategy development, mergers and acquisitions, engineering management, and business growth.

Robert Baker earned a BSc degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of York from 1981 to 1984. Robert then pursued postgraduate studies in Physical Chemistry and Lasers at the University of Cambridge from 1984 to 1985, followed by further postgraduate studies in the same field at the University of Birmingham from 1985 to 1987.
