Andrew Beaton is a Data Scientist at Lumilinks Group Ltd since May 2022, specializing in science-driven data solutions and explainable machine learning for business applications. Concurrently, Andrew has been a PhD student at the University of Strathclyde since October 2015, focusing on particle simulation, Monte Carlo methods, plasma acceleration techniques, and science communication. Previous experience includes a data scientist role at Defence Equipment & Support from July 2021 to May 2022, volunteer work with the Scottish Tech Army, and supervisory and sales roles at schuh from December 2010 to October 2015. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Strathclyde, completed in 2015.
