Mike West

Mike West has extensive experience in the field of design and user experience. Mike is currently working as the Director of User Experience at Lumin Digital - a PSCU Company since November 2018. Prior to this, Mike held various roles at Tallwave from 2016 to 2018, including Director of Design Solutions & Strategy and Design Director. At Tallwave, they used a combination of design thinking, entrepreneurship, and traditional business strategy methods to solve client challenges in digital products and branding. Mike was responsible for leading a team of product and brand designers, collaborating with clients and their customers, and conducting interviews and workshops.

Before joining Tallwave, Mike worked as the Creative Director at Ethology from 2015 to 2016. Mike guided the visual design and branding of all projects and translated marketing objectives into clear creative strategies. Mike also managed the creative process from concept to completion and created marketing/e-commerce website artifacts.

Prior to Ethology, Mike served as the Digital Experience Manager at Fender Musical Instruments from 2012 to 2014. In this role, they were responsible for creative direction, design, content, project and team management, and communication to executive teams. Mike led a team of 6 in creating and managing the web experience, social media support, and email marketing for all FMIC brands. Mike also redesigned and relaunched Fender.

Mike's career started at Provis Media Group, LLC, where they worked as a Partner-Creative Director from 2002 to 2012.

Mike West attended The University of Kansas from 1993 to 1995, where they studied Graphic Design. Mike then continued their education at Johnson County Community College from 1997 to 1999, earning an Associates degree in Graphic Design. Finally, from 2000 to 2001, Mike attended The Art Institutes, focusing on Interactive & Web Design, and also obtained an Associates degree.
