Brian Greaves

Brian Greaves is an experienced professional in the field of information security, currently serving as the Information Security Lead at Luminance since August 2022, where responsibilities include leading company-wide security policy and incident response efforts. Prior to this role, Brian served as a Security Engineer, focusing on threat intelligence and collaboration with technical teams. Brian's academic career spans from February 2014 to June 2021 at the University of Johannesburg, where roles included Lecturer and Junior Lecturer in Computer Science and Information Security, with responsibilities in course management, practical content preparation, and research, resulting in peer-reviewed publications. Brian holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science specializing in Information Systems Security, alongside a Master of Science and two Bachelor of Science degrees, all obtained from the University of Johannesburg.
