Lane Martin

Lane Martin is an accomplished optical scientist and systems engineer with extensive experience in the field of optics and photonics. Currently serving as the BD Tech Lead, Optical Scientist, and Systems Engineer at Luminar Technologies since 2016, Lane has previously held the position of Optical Scientist at Open Photonics, Inc. from August 2015 to December 2016. Lane's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Optics and Photonics from the University of Central Florida, earned between 2009 and 2014, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Missouri University of Science and Technology, completed in 2009. Research focus involved experimental investigations on the evolution of entangled photon pairs in periodic and disordered photonic lattices during tenure as a Graduate Research Assistant at CREOL-UCF from January 2009 to August 2015.
