Daniel Moon has worked in various finance and management roles over the past two decades. Daniel currently works as the COO and CFO for Luminate AI. Before that, they served as the Regional VP of the East, Caesars Digital, where they managed all aspects of the business in the Northeastern US. Daniel founded Apertura Capital, LLC in 2014 and served as CIO, building and managing a team that created investment narratives using quantitative and statistical methods. Prior to that, Moon worked in portfolio management roles for Visium Asset Management, Millennium Partners, and Sursum Capital Management. Daniel started their career in management consulting, working for Booz Allen Hamilton and McKinsey & Company.
Daniel Moon received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, where they attended from 1993 to 1997. Daniel then pursued an MBA at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan from 2001 to 2003, focusing on Strategy & Finance. Moon also obtained a certification in Introduction to Structured Query Language (SQL) from Coursera in September 2022.
