Dick Somers has extensive experience in the refining and petrochemical industries, specializing in business development and technical consulting roles. Currently, Dick serves as the Director of Business Development at Chevron Lummus Global since September 2024. Previously, from March 2012 to June 2019, Dick worked as a Senior Technical Consultant for Chevron's Hydrocracking and Hydroprocessing systems. Earlier roles include Business Development Manager at Hobré Instruments, Product Manager at Avantium Technologies, and Technical Sales Manager at Albemarle Catalyst. Dick began a career in research as a Research Technologist and Application Technologist at Akzo Nobel. Education was obtained from Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, earning a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
