Thijs van Es

Thijs van Es is an accomplished professional in the field of business development and technology, currently serving as Sr. Director of Business Development at Lummus Technology since July 2020, following a series of progressive roles including Director of Business Development and Senior Business Development Manager. Prior experience includes a tenure at McDermott International Inc., where Thijs held the position of Sr. Director of Technology from May 2018 to July 2020, and an extensive career at CB&I from July 1991 to May 2018, culminating as Senior Director of Technology. Thijs also contributed to the American Institute of Chemical Engineers as Secretary of the Dutch-Belgian Section from April 2011 to October 2017. Educational qualifications include an Ingenieur (Ir.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, earned between 1984 and 1990, along with a VWO degree from Philips van Horne Scholengemeenschap from 1978 to 1984, and early education at John F Kennedy from 1972 to 1978.
