Luna Therapy was founded in 2018 by occupational therapist Laura Kagan who recognised a need for a community based integrative occupational therapy service that supports people with experience of mental health illness, mental health problems and emotional distress. 

Luna Therapy is a mental health service provider covering the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. We provide services for plan-managed and self-managed NDIS participants and privately funded clients. 

Every client is valued as having a unique mental health experience, and deserves an evidence-informed individualised, empathetic, comprehensive and whole-person approach to therapy. We place a strong focus on the mind-body connection, and lifestyle and environment as enabling or disabling function, participation and wellbeing. Accessing the appropriate support, knowledge, tools and practices that enable self-awareness and self-healing is a basic human right, and we believe all people deserve the best chance at living the life they want in the way they want.

At Luna Therapy, we believe that each person’s physical, psychological and spiritual path to healing is unique to them, and that life can be transformed through deep connection to self awareness.

Luna Therapy was born from a growing desire to create an intentional community-based mental health occupational therapy service that offers support that is easily accessible, empowering and practical for those accessing the service. We know that healing is different for everyone, and occurs in personal places of significance, such as our homes and communities, so we are flexible to work with our clients from wherever they feel comfortable and safe. Our clients are empowered and encouraged to be actively involved in all aspects of the therapeutic relationship; a genuine and collaborative relationship that is built on trust and connection.
