Aric Blumer

Aric Blumer has extensive experience in hardware engineering and technology leadership. Aric currently holds the position of Principal Hardware Engineer at LUNA Innovations, where they have been since 2017. Prior to this role, they were a Staff Hardware Engineer at the same company. Before joining LUNA Innovations, Aric worked as a Lead Engineer at Moog Components Group from 2015 to 2017. Aric also served as the Chief Technology Officer at SDG Systems, LLC from 2008 to 2013. Aric started their career as a Lead ASIC Design Engineer at Marconi, plc from 1998 to 2004. Aric began their professional journey as a Diagnostic Engineer at FORE Systems, Inc. in 1994, where they were involved in embedded system programming for post-production ASIC verification and pre-production testbench development. Overall, Aric's work experience demonstrates their expertise in hardware engineering, technology leadership, and embedded system programming.

Aric Blumer completed their PhD in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech, from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, they obtained their MS in Computer Engineering from Clemson University, from 1992 to 1994.
