Leslie Walling

Leslie Walling is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in electro-optical systems and automation. As a Senior Electro-Optical Test Automation Engineer at Luna Innovations Incorporated since 2016, Leslie focuses on maintaining and improving legacy test equipment while advancing automation efforts. Previous roles include Senior Systems Engineer and Electronics/Firmware Engineer at Stratec Biomedical USA, where Leslie contributed to real-time PCR imaging architecture and instrumentation for the diagnostic industry. With a foundational career spanning roles at Amgen, Harvard Medical School, Pharmacopeia, and Battelle Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Leslie has developed automated systems for biological research and laboratory instrumentation. Leslie holds an Optical Engineering Certificate from UC Irvine, a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University.
