Steve Watson

Steve Watson has over 20 years of work experience. In 2021, they began working as a Frontend Developer for Lunch.Co, developing their app in React Native & Typescript, Redux, Styled components, Firebase, Stripe, social auth and payment integration. In 2020, they worked as a Frontend Developer for Redmind, developing a React Frontend for Gagnat.se, a circular economy startup and integrating a commercial WordPress CMS and Java backend. Steve also studied as a Student Web Developer at CraftAcademy in 2020. From 2013 to 2016, they worked as the Head Concierge at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, managing a team of 6 staff and overseeing recruitment, supervision, training and scheduling. Steve was also the President of Svenska HotellPortierFöreningen (SHPF) - Les Clefs d'Or Sweden from 2016 to 2021, where they oversaw the expansion of the Hotel Concierge Society in Sweden and guided Sweden to become a full country member of Les Clefs d'Or. From 2005 to 2013, they worked as a Designer for their own company, Steve Watson, where they designed, manufactured, and marketed furniture, lighting and household items. Steve also worked as an Assistant Head Concierge at The Landmark London from 2005 to 2013, managing a team of 20 staff and overseeing recruitment, supervision, training and scheduling. From 2003 to 2005, they worked as a Concierge at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, and from 2001 to 2003, they worked as a Concierge and Service Express Attendant at Westin Hotels & Resorts. From 1998 to 2001, they worked as a Product and Project Designer for Fibre Light International, designing and prototyping fibre optic lighting systems.

Steve Watson obtained a Bachelor's degree in Built Environment (Industrial Design) from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) between the years of 1994 and 1997. In 2015, they took a Front Office Management course at Hotelschool The Hague. In 2020, they earned a Certificate in Computer Software Engineering from Craft Academy. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, such as Figma for UX Design in April 2021, Learning Vue.js in December 2020, Getting Started in User Experience in September 2020, Learning TypeScript in September 2020, and React.js Essential Training in September 2020. Steve also obtained Les Clefs d'Or in May 2007.
