Tom Shearer has over 20 years of experience in the engineering and business development sectors, primarily in the field of solid-state lighting. Since June 2001, Tom has held multiple roles at Lutron Electronics, progressing from Design and Development Engineer to Systems Sales Engineering Leader for LED systems, focusing on identifying market applications for LED/OLED control products and leading product development efforts for ballasts and LED drivers. Between May 2016 and June 2019, Tom served as President of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) - Lehigh Valley, a peer support group dedicated to mental health advocacy. Tom began their professional journey with a co-op position at Dominion Semiconductor in 1999 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, obtained in 2001.
