Martin Amon

Software Architect at LUUM

Martin Amon has over 20 years of experience in software development and architecture. Martin began their career in 1997 as a Manager of OpenGL Device Drivers at 3dfx. In 2000, they moved to Lockheed Martin as a Software Architect and Developer, where they led the development of a large-scale distributed processing framework for hardware and software simulations. In 2007, they joined Microsoft as a Principal Developer and was instrumental in the company's decision to acquire Calista by designing the software architecture for GPU virtualization on Hyper-V used with the RemoteFX feature. Martin then moved to Intel Corporation in 2011 as a Graphics Software Architect. In the same year, they also co-founded n\u016bc Corporation, where they served as Chief Technology Officer. In 2013, they returned to Microsoft as a Software Consultant, where they optimized the performance for the Kinect controller depth processor. In 2015, they joined Ericsson as a Software Architect for IPTV Infrastructure, where they designed a new OpenGL compositing engine on Android TV and redesigned Windows CE Set-top box software to run on Linux. Finally, they are currently a Software Architect at Foxeye Robotics since 2019.

Martin Amon received their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Economics from UC Irvine and their Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
