Javier Caceres

Javier Caceres has extensive work experience in data engineering and software development. Javier currently works at Zebrands as a Data Lead, where they are responsible for defining, maintaining, and modernizing the data infrastructure and governance policies. Prior to this, they worked at Aktiun as a Data Engineer Consultant, where they worked with AWS, Airflow, and Spark to design and implement ETL processes for a client company located in the US. Before that, they worked at Capmation Inc. as a Data Engineer and Software Developer, specializing in Microsoft Azure tools for cloud computing and data extraction. Javier also has experience as a Software Engineer at WAWA TECHNOLOGIES, where they developed augmented reality mobile applications and worked on backend engineering for web and mobile applications. Additionally, they have worked as a Research Assistant at Universidad San Francisco de Quito and participated in an exchange program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Javier Caceres has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they obtained from 2013 to 2018. Javier also holds a degree in Ingeniería en Sistemas (Computer and Information Sciences, General) from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, which they obtained from 2013 to 2019. In addition, they have a certification as a Scrum Master from Scrum Inc., which they obtained in October 2020.
