Avez Rizvi

Avez Rizvi has a diverse range of work experience in the medical field. They have recently worked as a Medical Administrator and Consultant Radiologist at Direct Radiology since February 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Clinical Advisor and Chief Medical Officer at Luxsonic Technologies Inc. from April 2020 to May 2023.

Avez Rizvi also worked as a Full Service Radiologist at Valley Radiology & Associates from January 2020 to January 2021. Before that, they held positions such as Physician Advisor and Director of Healthcare at 1QBit in 2019.

From 2014 to 2020, Avez Rizvi worked at vRad (Virtual Radiologic) as a Radiologist/Clinical Consultant. They also worked at Joule Inc. as a Physician Advisor for a brief period in 2019.

Avez Rizvi's earlier work experience includes roles as the Division Chief of the Center for Medical Innovation, Software, and Technology (CMIST) at Sidra Medical and Research Center from March 2017 to December 2018. They also served as the Acting Vice Chief of Medical Informatics at Sidra from September 2016 to May 2018.

Before that, Avez Rizvi held positions such as Head of Section - Computational Imaging and Advanced Applications and Analytics, both at Sidra Medical and Research Center. They also co-founded and served as the CEO of DocHuddle, Inc., a start-up focused on wearable technology consultation in medicine.

Avez Rizvi's earlier experience includes a radiology residency at Staten Island University Hospital from July 2010 to June 2014 and a medical internship at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center from July 2009 to June 2010.

Avez Rizvi's education history begins with their Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities, which was obtained from Birmingham-Southern College. This degree was earned between the years 1999 and 2002.

Subsequently, Avez pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University from 2002 to 2004.

Afterwards, Avez attended Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science between 2004 and 2005 and earned a Master of Science degree in Applied Physiology.

Following this, Avez enrolled at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin U-Med & Science, where they pursued a Doctor of Medicine degree in Medicine from 2005 to 2009.

Finally, Avez completed a Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at Northshore LIJ/Staten Island University Hospital from 2010 to 2014, earning a degree in Diagnostic Radiology.
