Sandy Hunter

Sandy Hunter is a Principal Process Engineer at Lycopodium since February 2008, specializing in the design and commissioning of mineral processing plants, predominantly for gold. Prior to this role, Sandy held positions as Lead Process Engineer focused on gold plant studies and designs, and as Metallurgy Manager at Newmont Mining Corporation, overseeing operations and maintenance with an emphasis on safety, performance, and costs. Sandy also served as Senior Production Metallurgist and Plant Metallurgist, taking on roles as Radiation Safety Officer and Surface Ventilation Officer. Earlier experience includes working as a Plant Metallurgist at Viceroy Australia and as a Graduate Metallurgist at Posgold Ltd, with responsibilities spanning safety and environmental management. Sandy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mineral Science (Extractive Metallurgy) from Murdoch University.
