Dr. Smith, currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Caladrius Biosciences (formerly NeoStem), was elevated to Executive Chairman of NeoStem in January 2015 after having previously served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the company from 2006 to 2015.
