Ben Widlus

Ben Widlus, PhD, is a Senior UX Researcher at Lyft since November 2021, where mixed methods UX research is conducted on the core rider app. Previously, Ben worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Texas Tech University from August 2015 to August 2021, focusing on human-computer/robot interaction and mentoring fellow researchers. Ben has also gained experience as a User Experience Research Intern at Uber in the summer of 2019, where a two-phase research plan was developed to enhance the rider mobile app's map functionality. Ben holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology - Human Factors from Texas Tech University, along with a Master’s degree in the same field and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland.
