Michael Scimeca

Michael Scimeca is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law and transactions. Currently serving as Senior Director and head of the Commercial Legal team at Lyft since September 2017, Michael oversees all commercial transactions for the company. Prior to this, Michael held the position of Director of Legal at Procera Networks, Inc., managing all legal facets of the publicly traded corporation. Additional experience includes serving as Associate General Counsel at Walmart.com, focusing on M&A activity for Global eCommerce, and as Senior Counsel at AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah Insurance Exchange, where Michael led acquisitions of insurance companies. Michael began the career as an Associate at Heller Ehrman LLP, where significant contributions included managing M&A transactions for high-profile clients. Michael holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Davis - School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Santa Clara University.
