Ran S

Ran S has an extensive background in software engineering, currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Lyft from October 2022 to February 2025, where responsibilities include leading the ETA team to provide accurate and reliable ETA and distance estimations for over 30 internal services. Prior experience at Lyft includes working as a Senior Software Engineer focused on routing engine and navigation infrastructure. Ran S also contributed to Facebook’s Augmented Reality platform as a Software Engineer, delivering cross-platform support for ML/CV driven AR features between August 2019 and October 2022. Additionally, a brief internship at Transfix involved designing and developing infrastructure for Feature service APIs to optimize machine learning model performance. Ran S holds a Master's degree in Information Science-Connective Media from Cornell University and a Bachelor's degree in Intelligence Science and Technology from Peking University.
