Sonal Sahel

Sonal Sahel is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in regulatory compliance and technology law. Currently serving as Senior Counsel for Regulatory Compliance at Lyft since June 2020, Sonal collaborates with cross-functional teams to manage compliance across crucial markets in the US and Canada. Prior experience includes the role of Assistant General Counsel at the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission, where Sonal focused on technology and data privacy legal issues, advising on regulation for the ride-sharing industry. Sonal's early career included legal internships and externships with notable organizations and law firms, as well as a foundational role as a legal assistant. Sonal holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society from the University of Calgary.
