Sumit Sharma

Sumit Sharma is an experienced product leader in the fintech and banking sectors, currently serving as the Director of Payments Risk and Identity at Lyft since April 2025. Previously, Sumit was the Head of Platform Product at Square, overseeing a payments, banking, and lending platform that served over 4 million sellers and processed significant transaction volumes. Prior roles include Vice President of Product at Varo Bank, leading digital banking and payments, and various leadership positions at PayPal, where Sumit managed global payments platforms and risk solutions. Additional experience includes product management roles at Walmart.com and Wells Fargo, complemented by technical and analytical positions at Mphasis and Infosys. Sumit holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and has completed executive education in Product Management at UC Berkeley.
