Vijay Narasiman is an experienced data scientist currently serving as Principal Data Scientist for Algorithms in the Marketplace at Lyft since December 2016. In this role, Vijay focuses on prototyping and implementing models that influence driver earnings, pricing, and matching strategies. Prior to Lyft, Vijay held various positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as Assistant Economist and at Goldman Sachs as an Analyst. Vijay holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from Harvard University (2011 - 2016) and dual undergraduate degrees in Economics (BS) and Electrical Engineering (BSE) from the University of Pennsylvania (2002 - 2006).
