VP of Innovation at LYLA

Micky York's work experience includes a range of roles in various companies and organizations.

In 2001, Micky worked as a Production and Facilities Manager at Piven Theatre until 2003.

From 2003 to 2008, Micky co-founded and served as the Managing Director of the Brown Couch Theatre Company while also working as a Food & Beverage Manager at Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum & Nagelberg LLP.

In 2005, Micky joined LYLA (formerly Errand Solutions) as the VP of Innovation, focusing on improving work-life balance through technology. During the same year, Micky also started working as a Resident Musical Director/Composer at Metropolis Performing Arts Centre.

From 2008 to 2012, Micky worked as a Webmaster at Piven Theatre Workshop.

In 2005, Micky became the Concierge Manager at Hyatt Regency Chicago, a position held until 2008.

Starting in 2010, Micky became an Adjunct Instructor at Columbia College Chicago, teaching Information Management and preparing students for specialized arts management careers.

In 2018, Micky took on the role of Host of Sunday Night Social Lounge at Davenport’s Piano Bar & Cabaret.

Most recently, in 2022, Micky became an Adjunct Instructor at the College of DuPage, teaching courses related to the Music Business degree program.

Micky York earned a High School Diploma from Pembroke Hill School from 1991 to 1996. Following that, they attended Drake University from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a BFA in Musical Theatre. Later, Micky attended Columbia College Chicago from 2003 to 2005, earning an MAM degree in Arts Management. In May 2005, they obtained a certification in Grantwriting, Annual Fund Campaign Plans, and Major Gifts from the Fundwell Academy.
