David Hay is a FHIR Advisor with extensive experience in the health informatics sector. Currently self-employed and affiliated with Lyniate, David has contributed to various organizations, including serving as a member of HISO and holding a strategic role at Orion Health. David was the New Zealand Affiliate chair for Health Level Seven, where efforts were made to promote HL7 Standards and provide support within New Zealand. Additionally, David was an Executive member of Health Informatics New Zealand, focusing on collaboration and advocacy in health IT. Previous positions include Enterprise Architect at healthAlliance and Solutions Architect at EDS. David holds an MBChB in Medicine from the University of Auckland.
