David Lay

Electrical Engineer at Lynk Global

David Lay has a diverse work experience in electrical engineering. From 2017-2019, they were the Lead Undergraduate Electrical Engineer at Portland State Aerospace Society (PSAS), where they worked on control systems for liquid fuel engine test stands and advanced avionics systems for university class amateur rockets. David also served as an industry advisor, helping with design reviews and system level integration. From 2019-2022, they worked as an Electrical Engineer at Lynk and as a Student Manager at Electronics Prototyping Lab (EPL), where they instructed students on the use of rapid prototyping equipment, maintained an FDM/SLA 3D print farm, and taught a series of introductory workshops on embedded systems. Additionally, they had internships at Ball Aerospace in 2021 as an Image Detector Test Engineering Intern and at Oregon CubeSat in 2019 as an Electrical Systems Intern, where they worked on the development of the OreSat Bus, an open source and modular CubeSat bus system.

David Lay attended Portland State University from 2017 to 2022, earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
