Andrew Eichmann

Andrew Eichmann is a skilled scientific programmer with extensive experience in data assimilation for numerical weather prediction models. Currently employed at Lynker, Andrew focuses on implementing data assimilation systems for ocean and numerical weather models used by the National Weather Service for global forecasts. Prior to Lynker, Andrew worked at I. M. Systems Group Inc., where significant contributions included the implementation of the Ensemble Forecast Sensitivity and Observation Impact (EFSOI) algorithm, developing tools for data analysis in Python, and refining workflow within high-performance computing environments. Additional experience spans various research positions, including work with NASA's Global Modeling and Assimilation Office and NOAA, where Andrew contributed to model integration, validation, and documentation, earning recognition for outstanding performance. Andrew holds multiple advanced degrees in Physical Oceanography and Computer Science, complemented by a background in physics.
