Senior Director of Content and Scholarly Communication Initiatives at Lyrasis

Celeste Feather has extensive work experience in the library and scholarly communication field. Celeste started their career as an Access Services Librarian at Georgetown University Law Center in 1989 and worked there until 2000. Celeste then moved to the University of Connecticut School of Law, where they served as the Associate Director for Library Services from 2000 to 2004. In 2005, Celeste joined The Ohio State University as an Electronic Resources Librarian and later became the Assistant to the Director of Libraries from 2007 to 2008. Celeste then worked at OhioLINK as the Assistant Director for Electronic Licensing from 2008 to 2010. Celeste's most recent role was at LYRASIS, where they held various positions, including Senior Licensing Program Account Manager from 2010 to 2014, Senior Director of Licensing and Strategic Partnerships from 2014 to 2019, and currently, they are the Senior Director of Content and Scholarly Communication Initiatives since March 2019.

Celeste Feather began their education journey at Oberlin College in 1980, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Anthropology. Celeste completed their undergraduate studies in 1984. Subsequently, from 1984 to 1986, Celeste attended The George Washington University, earning a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Anthropology. Later on, they enrolled at the University of Maryland in 1988 and completed their studies in 1989, obtaining a Master of Library Science (MLS) degree with a focus on Library and Information Science.
