Sam Valbonesi is currently the Head of Bid Management at Lysander, a position held since 2025. Earlier, Sam served as Pre-Construction Lead at Keltbray from 2020 to 2025, having also held roles as Pre-Construction Manager and Bid Manager during that time. Prior to Keltbray, Sam was the Research Bid Development Manager (Sustainability) at the University of Surrey from 2017 to 2018, where they managed complex research bids and collaborated with diverse stakeholders. Sam's experience also includes working as a Bid & IMS Manager at Celtic Technologies from 2013 to 2017 and as Technical Remediation Sales at QDS Environmental Ltd from 2008 to 2013. Sam earned both a Bachelor's and a Doctorate in Environmental Science from the University of Sussex, completing the PhD in 2010.
