John Meade

John Meade has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. From 2020 to the present, they have worked at Lyssn, first as a Frontend Developer and currently as a Software Quality Engineer. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2020, they were self-employed as a Web Designer and Developer.

Before venturing into self-employment, John worked at the Lake County Health Department from 2009 to 2017. In this role as a Service Coordinator/Assistive Technology Coordinator, they handled the intake, evaluation, ongoing services, and transition of families with children ages 0-3 with developmental delays. John also processed all Assistive Technology requests for the county through the Early Intervention Program, while also contributing to Continuous Quality Improvement, providing technical support with MS Office, and utilizing case management strategies.

Additionally, from 2013 to 2016, John worked as a Technical Director at Lakeland Church. In this role, they collaborated with the Pastor of Worship Development in recruiting, training, and leading a team of volunteers for production responsibilities during services and special events. John also contributed to graphics, lighting, and live sound production, and had the opportunity to assist or lead in design and mixing for musical artists who performed at the church.

John Meade started their education in 2004 at Concordia College, where they studied English and Music Education for one year. John then transferred to Trinity International University and enrolled in their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) program in Music Education. John completed their degree in 2008.

In 2017, John Meade pursued further education in the field of front-end Web Development at Codecademy. John attended the program until 2019. During the same period, they also studied Web Design and Development at freeCodeCamp, obtaining certificates in Responsive Web Design and JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures.
