Gary Tan

Gary Tan is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in the finance and technology sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Department at M-DAQ Global since January 2023, Gary provides strategic leadership for IT projects across various user departments. Prior to this, Gary co-founded TranSwap and held the position of Chief Technology Officer from February 2019 to December 2022, focusing on the alignment of technical strategy with business objectives. Gary's previous experience at GIC spanned over two decades, during which various leadership roles were undertaken, including Head of Risk and Performance Applications and Head of Fixed Income, Alternative & Quantitative Investment Applications. Notable achievements include managing teams of significant size and successfully streamlining legacy systems, resulting in substantial cost savings. Gary holds a Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) and a Master of Science in Financial Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
