Sales Engineer at M-Files

Rick Scanlan has extensive work experience in the sales engineering field. Rick started their career in 1989 as a Project Consultant at Accusoft, where they provided technical consulting and business development support for CD-ROM publishing projects. Rick then moved on to become the Director of Sales, responsible for all selling activities, including licensing and contract programming.

In 1994, Rick became the Vice President of Sales at the same company, overseeing selling activities and working with customers to implement licensing of document imaging technology. In 1997, they transitioned to the role of Director of the Internet Innovations Division, managing a team and driving the division's success.

In 2001, Rick joined Accusoft (TMSSequoia) as the Vice President of Business Development, where they analyzed the market and developed a large-scale assessment scoring system for the K-12 education market. Rick also collaborated with product engineering to meet customer requirements. After that, they took on the role of Director of Sales Engineering, leading a team and emphasizing a discovery selling approach.

In 2020, Rick joined Accusoft as the Senior Director of Sales Engineering, where they provided leadership and contributed to pre-sales activities. Currently, they serve as a Sales Engineer at M-Files, utilizing their expertise to support sales efforts.

Rick Scanlan attended Oklahoma State University from 1980 to 1985, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Management. Subsequently, they pursued further education at Oklahoma State University from 1988 to 1989, completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science and Computer Systems.
