Timo Pernu

Timo Pernu has extensive work experience in the software industry. Timo started their career at KTHK Consulting Oy as a PDM consultant and operations manager, where they were responsible for PDM system specification work and managing a consultant team. In 2004, they joined Nice-business Solutions Oy as a Service Manager and Consultant. During their time there, they provided consulting services and managed projects.

In 2011, Timo joined M-Files Corporation and took on the role of Support Manager. Timo was responsible for strategically valuable M-Files customer support, including maintenance of the M-Files cloud service infrastructure. Timo successfully established long-term support strategies and capabilities, including implementing 24/7 customer service and scaling up the support team. Timo also led the recruitment of highly professional support staff and established various support teams. Timo achieved ISO 9001 certification for support and established metrics for tracking support trends. Additionally, Timo developed ITIL-based support processes and created documentation for incident management and service request management.

In 2017, Timo was promoted to Director of Customer Support EMEA at M-Files Corporation, a position they currently hold.

Timo Pernu began their education in 1990 at Suolahti High School, also known as Suolahden lukio. Timo completed their high school education there in 1993, although no degree or field of study was specified.

Following high school, Timo attended Tampere University of Technology from 1994 to 2000. Timo obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree and studied Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Electronics during this time.

Timo also has several additional certifications. In 2005, they achieved the PM-master certification from Projekti-instituutti. In 2010, they obtained the ITIL v3 Expert certification from APMG and became a Certified Scrum Master through ColabNet. Timo also holds the M-Files IT Administrator, M-Files Certified Specialist, and M-Files Certified User certifications from M-Files Corporation. Timo has also received the Foundation Certificate in IT-Service Management and Manager's Certificate in IT Service Management from EXIN, although the years of obtaining these certifications were not provided.
