Iain Sutherland

Iain Sutherland is an experienced leader in the construction and engineering sectors, currently serving as Managing Director of the Water Division at M Group Services since November 2023. Previously, Iain held the position of Highways Director at Balfour Beatty plc, where management of the £1.5 billion Lower Thames Crossing Roads North project was a key responsibility. Between March 2012 and March 2017, Iain provided interim leadership across various organizations, including a successful tenure as interim Managing Director at Arcadis, where significant profit and revenue growth was achieved. Prior roles include Water and Waste Sector Director at Morgan Sindall, Operations Director at Accord Highways, and various engineering positions from Site Engineer to Project Director with Costain and Balfour Beatty. Iain holds an MBA from Warwick Business School, a Higher Diploma in Construction Law from Trinity College Dublin, and a BEng in Civil Engineering from Newcastle University.
