Eric Failes

Eric Failes has a diverse work experience that spans several companies and roles. Eric started their career as a Graduate Researcher at Washington University in St. Louis, where they worked from August 2015 to August 2020. After that, they joined GiftAMeal as a UX Research and Marketing Intern in June 2019, and later became a Data Science Consultant in August 2019. At GiftAMeal, they conducted data analyses, presented findings to the CEO, and worked on a case study of the effectiveness of the GiftAMeal program at a partner restaurant.

In 2020, Eric joined M Science as a Data Analyst in November, where they worked until September 2021. Eric then took on the role of Senior Data Engineer and Tagging Operations Lead, overseeing a team of analysts and engineers to extract information from large datasets in the financial services industry. In September 2022, Eric became the Data Engineering Lead at M Science, where they currently oversee a team of Data Engineers, Scientists, and Analysts to provide consumer insights.

Eric Failes completed a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology at The University of British Columbia from 2010 to 2014. Following this, they pursued further education at Washington University in St. Louis, where they obtained a Master of Arts in Cognitive Psychology and Psycholinguistics from 2015 to 2018. Continuing their studies, Eric earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Cognitive Psychology and Psycholinguistics from Washington University in St. Louis, completing their degree from 2015 to 2020. In addition to their academic achievements, Eric Failes also obtained a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from the USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021.
