Gary Miller

Gary brings over 40 years of engineering and business experience to the company, with more than half of his career devoted to fiber optic communications. As the COO and Director of Engineering at M2 Optics, Gary has a critical role in both managing day-to-day operations, as well as the technical development of several highly successful product lines. His vast experience in fiber optics and electronics has been instrumental in helping M2 to offer solutions geared for next-generation optical communication systems.

Gary was involved in the R&D of early fiber optic systems and throughout the years has held several management positions at leading companies including Eastman Kodak, Times Fiber, Ipitek, and Olson Technology. He holds several patents in fiber optic communications for fiber-to-the-home delivery, optical switching, optical splitting, and satellite information transmission.

Gary received a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University and an Master’s in Industrial Administration from Union College. He currently resides in Holly Springs, NC and enjoys an occasional round of golf and taking on projects around the house.
