Suzanne Garrett is a detail-oriented Community Engagement Leader with extensive experience in organizing collaborative science-policy discussions. They served as the DCMC Coordinator at IUCN from 2010 to 2014, where they coordinated the DC Marine Community program and developed a strategic plan to support membership growth. Previously, they co-founded Oceana’s outreach program and held various roles at the Consortium for Ocean Leadership, leading scientific program development and fostering partnerships. Currently, Suzanne is pursuing a BS in Biochemistry and an MA in Marine Affairs while also obtaining a certificate in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from George Mason University.
