Tim Sultanov

Tim Sultanov began their work experience as a Laboratory Assistant at AESC MSU in 2008. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Part-Time Intern at McKinsey & Company. In 2012, they interned as a GIR Spring Intern at Goldman Sachs. From 2013 to 2013, Tim worked as a Summer Analyst, CLFI at VTB Capital. In 2014, they became a Private Equity Analyst at VTB Capital. Tim then joined the Russian Direct Investment Fund as an Investment Analyst from 2015 to 2015. From 2016 to 2017, Tim worked as an Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Currently, they hold roles at Measure 8 Venture Partners, starting as an Associate from 2017 to 2021, and then transitioning to Vice President in 2021. In their current role, Tim focuses on cannabis-focused investments, seeking opportunities in the US and Europe.

Tim Sultanov has a strong education background in mathematics. From 2009 to 2014, they attended Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU), where they earned a Specialist Diploma in Mathematics. Prior to MSU, Tim attended the Advanced Educational and Scientific Centre of Moscow State University from 2007 to 2008, where they completed high school studies in Mathematics. In addition to their formal education, Tim also passed the CFA Level 1 exam in June 2015.
