Gupta is the Chief Executive of Maahi Milk Producer Organization, a role held since 2024. Gupta previously served as Programme Coordinator (National) for Small Holders Agriculture at Oxfam from 2007 to 2010. Gupta also held the position of National Programme Coordinator for PACS at Christian Aid from 2010 to 2011, and was a Programme Officer at Catholic Relief Services from 2004 to 2007. Gupta was Executive (Projects) at PRADAN from 1999 to 2004 and was Practice Head- Dairy Value Chain at NDDB Dairy Services from 2024 to 2025. Gupta earned an MBA from Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University (1997–1999) and a PGDCA from M.M.M. Engineering College (1996–1997).
