Matt Hill has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Matt is the Workshop Instructor & Co-Founder at National Parks at Night, LLC since October 2015. Matt is responsible for teaching night photography in national parks and co-founded the program with Gabriel Biderman and other educators.
From November 2021, Matt has also been working at MAC Group, initially as part of the Educational Marketing team and later as the Director of Marketing Innovation from August 2018 until October 2022.
Additionally, Matt owns their own company called Matt Hill Art, Inc, which they started in 2008. Matt specializes in cut paper art and night photography and is currently working on a project called NIGHT PAPER, which combines paper fashion and long exposure portraiture at night.
From April 2015 to August 2018, Matt worked as the Director of Marketing at Gradus Group. Matt focused on building and managing a marketing team for diverse brands.
Before that, Matt worked in marketing at B&H Photo Video from December 2014 to April 2015 and was the Director of Digital Marketing & Strategy at MAC Group from February 1998 to November 2014.
Matt's earlier experience includes working as a Technical Specialist and Consignment Manager at Sinar Bron Imaging from September 1996 to February 1998. Matt handled technical calls from photographers and managed rental/consignment gear worth $2 million for sales reps and rental dealers.
Matt Hill completed the altMBA program in 2016. Prior to that, they attended Raritan Valley Community College from 1995 to 1997, where they earned an Associate of Fine Arts degree in Photography and English. Matt'searlier education was at Hunterdon Central Regional High School from 1989 to 1993.
