Danielle Citron

Fellowship

Danielle Citron is a distinguished legal scholar currently serving as a Professor of Law at the University of Virginia School of Law since January 2021. With extensive experience in academia, Citron previously held the position of Professor of Law at Boston University School of Law and the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. Citron's expertise encompasses privacy, free speech, civil rights, and the intersection of automation with advertising law. Additionally, Citron serves as Vice President of the CYBER CIVIL RIGHTS INITIATIVE and holds a fellowship with the MacArthur Foundation. Citron began a legal career as an Associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP and further honed legal skills as a law clerk for the Honorable Mary Johnson Lowe in the U.S. District Court. Citron earned a B.A., cum laude, in Comparative Area Studies from Duke University and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law.
