Michael Harvey

Michael Harvey is a Program Officer at the MacArthur Foundation since April 2022, following a diverse career in public policy, civic engagement, and community development. Previously, Michael served as the Assistant Director of Administration for the Office of Civic Engagement & External Affairs at the University of Chicago, where responsibilities included developing corporate relations strategies and facilitating operational functions. Experience includes roles at the City of Chicago as a Public Service Intern, volunteer tax preparation at the Center for Economic Progress, and extensive research and outreach efforts at various organizations, including NYCHA and The Chicago Community Trust. Michael holds a Master of Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies and Philosophy from the same institution.
