David Smith

David Smith, MBA, has extensive experience in project management and operations within the transportation and infrastructure sectors. Starting as a Consultant at Campion Evans, David transitioned to an Archive Manager role at Defra and subsequently served as Project Support Manager at South Eastern Trains. David's tenure at Network Rail spanned several senior positions, including Senior Programme Manager, Programme Manager (Route), and Health and Safety Director, culminating in a role as Committee Member for the Network Rail Section Pensions Committee. Currently, David holds the position of Operations Director at Mace, having previously engaged in various leadership roles at Network Rail until August 2022. Academic credentials include an MSCi in Geological Sciences from Imperial College London, earned between 1997 and 2001.
