John Haefele

John Haefele is a seasoned project management professional with extensive experience in the construction industry. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at Mace since October 2022, John leads significant projects including the revitalization of Maritime Place in Paarden Eiland and the refurbishment of the Cape Grace Hotel. Previously, John managed multiple high-value projects at Metrum Project Management, including a R400 million refurbishment for HBW Group and various projects for Netcare Limited. Throughout a career spanning over two decades, John has held key positions at several leading firms, including serving as the Managing Director and Founder of Onsite Control Systems, where cloud-based project management solutions were developed. John holds a Bachelor's Honors Degree in Construction Management & Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand, along with an Engineer's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same institution. Additionally, John completed the Property Development Programme at the UCT Graduate School of Business.
