Richard Ames

Richard Ames is a seasoned professional in civil engineering and design management, currently holding the position of Senior Design Manager and Senior Project Manager at Mace, where involvement includes the HS2 Euston Station project. Prior to this role, Richard served as Design Manager for Utilities at STRABAG, managing projects within the HS2 S1-S2 MWCC framework in collaboration with Skanska and Costain. With a robust background at Arup as a Civil Engineer, Richard coordinated utilities design for HS2 Euston EWC. Previous experiences include managing asset management benchmarking at Capita Symonds and contributing to major infrastructure projects such as the London Olympic Park and Crossrail. Richard earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Performance Management from The University of Salford and an MEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Surrey.
